Dynecon / Infrastructure discovery
Know what is there. Understand how it connects.
Useful automation starts with an accurate operational picture. Dynecon’s discovery approach connects inventory, configuration and relationships across networks, systems and cloud infrastructure.
Network inventory and relationships
Define a discovery scope that includes switches, routers and firewalls; IP-to-MAC and MAC-to-port relationships; VLANs and subnets; and CDP/LLDP neighbors. SNMP, SSH and native APIs provide complementary evidence. Discovery schedules should reflect how quickly each part of the environment changes.
Load balancers and service paths
Inventory alone does not explain how a service is delivered. Discover virtual servers, pools and member nodes, then correlate those members with the underlying machines. This connects the application-facing endpoint to its infrastructure dependencies.
Virtual infrastructure
Hypervisor and management-platform discovery connects hosts with their virtual machines. The NSP discovery heritage spans VMware, Xen, KVM/libvirt, OpenStack and container environments, with Cisco UCS discovery linking chassis, blades and service profiles. Platform coverage is established against the systems in the engagement scope.
Agentless system context
Where access permits, native protocols can collect hardware and operating-system details, addresses, installed software, running and stopped services, listening ports and remote connections. Agent-based collection can supplement this for disconnected or otherwise constrained devices. Access, credentials and collection intervals are planned with the operating teams.
